Five-star running back Jalen Hurd of Beech High School in Hendersonville, Tenn., is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Tennessee in the 2014 class.

Man I really hope we sign 3 of those guys next year with Hurd and Paulk being two of them...Hurd would completely make me forget about losing out on Derrick Henry

How important are these junior days, in your opinion?
It goes without saying the Vols need Hurd, is there a chance he could commit earlt?

Ryan, given our change in offense from a pro-style to spread, even though we went after Derrick Green, is the profile of our ideal back shifting to a smaller, speedier guy? Or do we want both - a big guy like Hurd AND a smaller speedier guy in each class? Just a question I had when I read this. Thanks!

Next year is gonna be super important for the Vols to land a stud running back or two. I also think it will set the tone for this staff as far as keeping in-state guys. I think Hurd is crucial during this cycle for CBJ in so many ways.

I sure hope we can get a least a couple, b/c this is a HUGE area of need for us. Even if Lee turns out to be an A-A candidate by the end of the year, injuries happen, and backs wear down.

Ryan, do you see Bo Scarbrough playing RB in college? I realize this list was before this past weekend's visit. Would you include him on this list now (after his visit)? or do you see him at some other position in college?
