I'll be crossing my finger for a whole year hoping we can keep this kid. It really makes me nervous that the likes of Urban and Saban are gonna be creepin' around all year.

I know Hurd is a beast, but I have wondered about how his height will affect him at the college level. Glad to see that he keeps low when hitting holes and everything though. I am so incredibly pumped up about this.

Even if does not ultimately play RB, he is a great athlete. Would make a good LB or small DE?

Man I love this. Can't say how much I appreciate what this staff is doing to pump up the fan base and get the SWAG back in BigOrange country.
Also, thanks to the staff of 247 for proving that you dont have to negative report about a team to have great journalism. Tell the truth without so much of your own opinion and the fans will flock. When this site started i was a member of Rivals, Scout, and followed GoVols. NOW IT IS ALL 247. THANK YOU!!!!!

I am done being reserved about my enthusiasm.
I am on the CBJ train!! Now if this staff can coach the game day as well as they do everything else--and I totally believe it will be just that way!--then this was absolutely a HOMERUN hire! Wow. It feels GOOD!!

I definitely think the effort is going to be incredible from guys like TK jr & Hurd, because this is their program. They have grown up fans, and its their dream to play here. That's some of the effort we have been missing in recent years. Can't wait to see the career these two have.

Just spoke with his granddad.jalen is solid no worries.he said jalen really hopes him committing will help us in recruiting one of the top classes this year.i had been telling y'all that had Dooley not screwed the pooch so to speak jalen would have been ours already.im thrilled jalen is not only a great athlete but a good kid.

6-3, 230lbs and great instincts to run low according to the people that know! Think about adding another 5-10lbs (if necessary?) on that dude w/o sacrificing speed, explosiveness, cutting, etc. SCARY good!!

This is huge. This kid can play. If you haven't seen him, drive up on a Friday night. He will answer any questions. 31 carries, 394 yards, and 7 touchdowns in this years State Championship game was incredible. Can't wait to see him in Orange and White on Saturdays.
