Great article. I like Richardson's last quote about playing fast and physical. Hopefully these guys show their maturity this year and become one of the best O-lines in the SEC.

Sounds hopeful not just for keeping good pass blocking they had last year but also running behind the left side of the O-line.
I like Dallas. I also think Richardson's a titan and we need that guy on the field.

I'm sure that first picture is a little bit of optical illusion based on camera angle, but Antonio looks like a freaking giant!

His arms don't look big because of any optical illusion. I've heard from Wes and a lot of other people that he is just one large human being from the time he stepped on campus. If the talent and production ends up matching his natural size then look out!

I think Wes Ryan and Tiny need to take a picture all standing side by side, just so people can see how much larger he is than an average person. It really is amazing just at how big he is

There is definitely ALOT of size on this o-line. If they grasp the coaching and technique and get nasty, they SHOULD be able to pave the road.

Excellent article! I've got a feeling that we are going to see a return to a big, strong & powerful Tennessee offensive line & with CSP developing them look out. Get the Mack truck ready because these guys will make some huge run lanes!

I am optimistically hopeful we will be able to run the ball better this year. Tiny is huge and Dallas is proven. The left side should be solid. But I also remember this same group of guys talking about Poole getting 2500 yards last year. As we all know, that didn't even come close to happening. They should have a better feel as to what it takes to be successful at this level now though.

Yes, there are some exagerated expectations during spring and fall football practices by all teams fans. Some have merit and some are what frans hope will happen. Certainly this team looks better on paper and perhaps on the field than they have looked since the Fulmer era. Now we will see this comming season just how much progress we have made. The main goal is to beat the teams we are supposed to beat and compete better with those that equal or exceed our talent and hopefully win at least one that we are not supposed to win. We have some big ole boys on the OL but they will face some big ole boys on the defensive side of the ball in the SEC games. I will be disappointed if this team does not win 8 games but I will not bet the farm on it.

Can someone smarter than I (pretty large sample size, admittedly) please provide a primer on the key differences and attributes that make a successful OG relative to an OT? I googled it and most of the answers were sorely lacking. I think the OT traditionally has to be a bit better with his feet and hands to protect the QB's blind side while a guard is traditionally (I think) more important in the run game. But if that is the case - and knowing that Thomas has done a good job at LT - why wouldn't they put Tiny at guard for a year? Just not sure what it is about Richardson that makes him not a candidate at guard and let thomas finish his career at the spot he has experience playing? Seems like with Tiny's strength and size he would be a road grader at guard. Anyway, just interested in the nuances of the position in general and the situation with Thomas and Richardson in particular. Thanks.
