UT-Kentucky hoops rivalry reduced?

Honestly, not that it matters because the train has left the station, but I think they hit the panic button too quick on breaking up the divisional format. It is a cycle; sometimes one division is up and the other is down, but all in all it evens out over time. Furthermore, I don't think they should let the conference expansion or lack of divisional format hinder the rival scheduling. Drop whatever number of out of conference games required and play in the SEC. Heck, I am not sure what the limit is on regular season games, but in basketball I would not mind seeing everybody in the conference play each other twice (home and away) each season. Line'em up and play'em. Win and you go. Lose and you stay home. Let the winners prevail and let the losers watch. In the end the cream rises to the top and the SEC would still feed their best into the NCAA. Once you start manipulating the schedule to posture the conference, the dance never stops. I know I am being radical or maybe too much of a traditionalist for these days and times, but I just think the immediate willingness to sell out tradition for whatever perceived monetary benefit is a mistake that will ultmately lead to destroying the foundation that the SEC has been built upon in becoming the greatest sports conference in the land.

I hope we can manage to keep the home and home with UK each year. I think it would be sad to lose this 2 game rivalry.
