Tennessee senior tight end Mychal Rivera sat out Tuesday's practice with what coach Derek Dooley referred to as a "sprained" knee.

Tennessee's fifth day of preseason camp marked the Vols' first practice in full pads, but it was more noteworthy because of the players who didn’t participate.

Hate Rivera is out for a week but this will help the younger guys with reps. From all indications, they are all in very good football shape so he should fall right back in next week if the injury isn't bad.

Have they thought about moving croom to tightend or is he strictly wide receiver just asking because of the injure to rivera and dismissal of clear and justin being hurt

UT isn't really that deep at WR either. With the possibility of Hunter and Rogers going pro after this year and Dallas being moved to defense, I don't see UT switching any more WRs to another position.

Croom and Bowles look like big recievers by the pics I saw that Wes Rucker took of practice. Are they as big as they look and fast?

Agree tnbear not much about Hill, I think he had some injurie issues in the spring but the pic's iv'e seen of him look good as iv'e said in other post he looks like a Jamal Lewis type back don't think he has Jamals speed but damn he has tree trunk legs and runs with good leverage and high knees could be a sleeper if Neal and Lane can't get it done. You don't have to take it to the house everytime just get everything you can and punish the defense.

why is justins hamstring taking so long to heal? wouldn't a hamstring injury normally heal from spring till start of camp?

I'm confused about this as well. Unless he re-injured it, it seems the muscle would've repaired itself by now.
