Four-star junior athlete C.J. Reavis of Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Va., now claims 13 scholarship offers to date after picking up offers from Tennessee and Vanderbilt on Friday.

A four-star athlete from Chester, Va., who holds more than a dozen offers says he picked up his first SEC offer from Tennessee on Friday during his first trip to Knoxville.

I want Reavis Island in Knoxville Tennessee. I like the attention we are giving to Virginia I think the last staffed totally went 0fer in that state.

Is it standard practice to tell a kid to call you in a few days to see if they have a offer? Seems kind of strange to me. If that was my kid I would tell him to look somewhere else than some place you have to call and ask for a offer.

Yeah we got Hunter which was great but I have to agree with VFL86's point. We missed on Derrick Green who was our biggest target in VA during the last staff's tenure and there are plenty of SEC caliber players and players who seemed to be interested in UT in VA and it felt like we had no presence there. With this new staff in place we have a commit from VA and there seems to be a lot of buzz in that state about UT which was hardly the case last year.
In regards to Justin Hunter, the new staff should be able to use him as a weapon in recruiting especially around his hometown of Virginia Beach where a ton of talented athletes have hailed from. We need to be able to raid a state like VA for top talent especially in a year like 2014 where the state seems to be loaded

Lots of talent in VA almost every year. Would be great to make some connections over there.
This kid sounds very promising. UT has a good start.
