Top247 junior cornerback Brendan Langley of Kell High School in Marietta, Ga., who's ranked the No. 146 overall player in the 2013 class by 247Sports, visited Tennessee on Monday to attend one of the Vols' spring practices.

Please tell me 'mentor' does not mean 'handler' as in Bryce Brown. Sounds like a kid who could really help so let's kick some 'dawg' stuff and get this guy.

Played high school ball with Ansley. Excellent football player and nice guy. I had no idea he was a position coach at UT. I guess I am going to have to pull for UT except for one weekend of the year.

Every big recruit has a "mentor," if they don't have one then they aren't worth having. The mentor has attached himself to the recruit because they think the kid can get to the pros and take care of them once the money starts rolling in. Conterary to popular belief most big time players don't fall in love with any school, it's more of who offers the best package

Not sure what I think about the offer to play on both sides of the ball. I hope that's just a recruiting "ploy." It seems to me that anyone that wants to play both sides of the ball is a ME first guy, and Lord knows we already have problems like that in Knoxville. Just my

Wins on the field will turn the tables for us. Unless our team just self-destructs without cause, my hope is for Dooley to be given as much time as he needs. I really believe that he is running the program the proper way. The wins will almost certainly come, especially if there is no question pertaining to our coaching staff's continuity.

Randolph will certainly be a plus but it is a better than even chance that he knows players personally at both Ga. & AL. IMO on the field performance is more important. Our play last season cost the VOLs some high quality prospects particularly the Kentucky Game. I remember last spring how some Vol fans were predicting 9 plus wins but this season we do have better players at most positions and a much easier schedule. Vandy is planning on beating our tail this fall. We can't let that happen at a time when the prospects the Vols have targeted are in the final decision process.
