    Kevin- do you believe it's a money thing with Strong? Something tells me we'll not get in a bidding war, especially since Jurich has publicly stated he'll pay him. To me, it seems like Strong would want recruits, stadium, passionate fans, etc. but I could be wrong.

    You might want to do some research about money UL has deeper pockets than you think, google it. And with us go g ACC he'll get the recruits he needs. I just got a notification From espn app on my phone that we are negotiating he's contract and extending it.

    The acc is still not close to the sec when it comes to fans and recruits.

  • 1) Even with going to the ACC, it doesn't make a lot of big time recruits want to go there. The ACC is a Bball conf. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. There's been some reports of highly touted high school recruits would play for Strong at UT but wouldn't consider Louisville.

    2) Even with matching the $$, the gameday atmosphere at Louisville, the history at l'ville, and the traditions at l'ville cannot compare to Tennessee.

    3) He wants to coach in the SEC

    Not saying that he's leaving L'ville, but come on, you can't sit back and try and compare the two programs and say louisville is a better destination.

    This is how negotiating works. There are so many possibilities right now.
    Strong could be doing this simply to be courteous to the program that gave him his first HC gig.
    Or, to get more money from UT.
    Or, to get a big extension from UL.
    Or, he truly hasn't made his mind up yet.
    Who knows ?
    Regardless, saying that Hart has botched the process, doesn't have a clue, or we are screwed, is just crazy to say right now. At least wait until later when we actually know what's going on.

    Never said that my friend no need to get hostile. I can care less about the sec or irrelevant UT. I'm just trying to say money is not a factor and you don't NEED a roster LOADED with 5* recruites to win and you don't need to play in the sec to play for a title.

  • As far as us not knowing what Hart is doing, doesn't mean he doesn't know what he is doing. It just means he isn't talking. I would rather he stay focused on the task at hand, than holding a press conference once or twice a day to report on speculation. Nobody saw Arkansas' hire coming. The silence in part of the game until you have your coach locked up.

    Buck, I agree with all your points. Your last one is most important. He won't go to UK, MSU, Ole Miss, so what other options would he have ? This IS his opportunity to have 2 & 3 now. I'd be shocked if he stays here.

    You're right. and i wasn't getting hostile. I was saying, taking money out of it, Louisville cannot compare to UT. and your suggestion that UT is irrelevant and Louisville is is a bit misguided. Have you seen the college football news recently? UT is all over the national media in this coaching search.
