No need to act high and mighty about the SEC. Lots of great football programs around the country not in the SEC. And lots of nice facilities. I know this season and now this search have us all at wit's end, but this is a civil board. Let's indulge in some conversation with our guests and not belittle them because they're not a part of the SEC. They've obviously got SOMETHING that we want. Welcome Cardinal fans to govols247. No hard feelings either way it turns out. GO VOLS!

    I have really enjoyed talking to some of the Vols over the past couple of days. I feel for them. Imagine if we couldn't find a suitable basketball coach. It would suck.

    I wish you guys nothing but the best and PLEASE don't lose to UK for at least another 27 years.

    It doesn't matter what I think, what you think, or anyone else besides Coach Strong. If he thinks that Tenn is the best place for him, then I'll hold no ill will. He brought us out of the dark ages forced upon us by Steve Klusterthorpe in 3 short years.

    But to continually discount UofL and what we offer is an error in judgement. To think that all UT has to do is offer and he would jump, well, that hasn't worked out too well apparently.

    Please, just please, don't lose to UK any more. I was embarrassed FOR you guys last year.

    +1 Thank you we enjoy talking to you guys as well but there are a few not being so respectful. I appreciate you being respectful about all this cause its not easy during times like this.

    Especially the losing to UK part...that was always a highlight of Card fan's year. Knowing that the UK dreams would be crushed yet again :-)

All I'm saying is our facilities compare to anyone in being up to date not that they're bigger...Charlie said his self things like our weight room need to be expanded. And our stadium doesn't need to sit over 100,000 people u got to think louisville is not the state school ky is u get out of louisville and u rarely find uofl fans UT is the school in Tennessee, Vandy has very few fans and Memphis well enough said lol but I'm not bashing UT at all beautiful campus I actually had a brother committed there to play baseball a couple of yrs ago and made plenty of visits there its beautiful but he got into Stanford and went there which I can't blame him but y'all get Charlie I can guarantee he will do great things

    That is what Louisville can't offer. There not going to build on 55 thousand seats and have fans to fill them. Sorry Louisville that's the facts.

    the current seating is 55 or 60 thousand. And we can pack the seats, we did under John l smith and petrino problem is this is historically a bball school but football is STRONG here. Inconsistent coaches and kragthorp tanked and trust me it will pick back up.

    Just being a fan nothing personal they want what we have and I don't want them to have it point blank. Just here to state facts, hate we people make assumptions about a program they know nothing about because they THINK we are inferior. Can't find the post but here's a link to the stadium capacity that somebody said we're not going to build.

  • Cards fan here...all I'll say is, I like Tennessee. Anyone who beats UK that many times in a row and is likely to restart that streak is A-OK in my book. Otherwise, no offense to anyone, but I'm not overly worried about losing our coach to you guys. If we do, we'll still be fine.

    You're right but we can throttle Big East & ACC teams all day long. Check Cinci from last yr and NC State from this year. Also I didn't say nothing about UT I said the SEC so either you're illiterate or .......well I'll let you fill in the blank!
