+1 Thank you we enjoy talking to you guys as well but there are a few not being so respectful. I appreciate you being respectful about all this cause its not easy during times like this.

Actually I was hoping you all got Charlie.biggrin

That way Gruden was all ours.

Cards fan here...all I'll say is, I like Tennessee. Anyone who beats UK that many times in a row and is likely to restart that streak is A-OK in my book. Otherwise, no offense to anyone, but I'm not overly worried about losing our coach to you guys. If we do, we'll still be fine.

Great post, and if we don't get him, we will be fine.

last time i checked, Tennesse doesnt play "grown man football"

By the way, you're going get to see that grown man football I was talking about when your team gets to New Orleans. Florida by at least 21.......I promise! You can look me up if I'm wrong and I will gladly eat crow, gladly!

Part of me hopes that we can keep it at 21.

We aren't a very good football team. We have a great young QB and 4 NFL wide receivers when healthy. Not much after that.

roflmao Good stuff. And I hope y'all beat Florida by 21. I'll be a big Cardinals fan that day.+1

the current seating is 55 or 60 thousand. And we can pack the seats, we did under John l smith and petrino problem is this is historically a bball school but football is STRONG here. Inconsistent coaches and kragthorp tanked and trust me it will pick back up.

Yea we don't pack our house and still averaged 94,000 in attendance which is 2nd in the SEC! And you can google that one if you want to. So in other words we avg 40,000 more fans than you guys and we've sucked for the last 5 yrs!

Never know... Sometimes the weirdest things tend to happen. You know how sports go underdog may come to play and the better team may overlook, not going to down talk my team.

Can't fit more people in chairs. If we had 50k more seat we would have 45k more asses in them or atleast 40k cause the other 5k would be on the party deck getting drunk. cheers

Like I said not here for a pissing contest just to prove a point, your fans seem to know a lot about us but we don't know any about you all. Other than Ricky Williams that guy was a beast.

No one begs anyone to come watch us play, look everyone knows we're a basketball school and that will never change but money will never be a issue with us. The thing is when football is winning and we have good teams coming in to play us like Clemson and fl state coming every other year in acc we will sell out the stadium and people will beg to get in the game and facilities we compare to anyone. If he can get top 25 recruiting classes at louisville in the big east who knows wat he can do in the acc or even the sec with UT. But then again he's not worth this kind of money right now in his career I mean that puts him in the top 8 and has yet to when a BCS game

I am leaning more towards the notion that he is worth the money... I have posted on one of my other favorite boards that he has something, IMO!!!, that for some reason I don't see in the other candidates besides maybe the pipe dream Gruden. He has, once again IMO, all the intangibles that this program has lacked in the last couple of the Fulmer years up until this very moment. Those being, and not limited to, CS's apparent emotional connection w his entire team and I am talking about on the sideline and in the locker room.
Dools and even Kiff were lackluster at best in there overall "follow me" emotions. I mean...guys and gals, Dools was "proud of effort" in his THIRD friggin year. We need an assertive emotional win-centric inspiring coach who can bond personally with every player and also every VFL he encounters. No more of the smug Dools BS and phoned in STUCK UP lawyer recruiting philosophy.
I mean guys we have had a multitude of in-state 4-5*'s and several other out of state premiere athletes state publicly and express in some pretty straight forward ways that they are interested in the reevaluating, visting and possibly switching to UT as long as we can push to keep certain assistant coaches and no matter whoever the HC is that they will be VERY open to being a VOLUNTEER. IMO CCS can be that bridge for these kids.
I am predicting that if Strong is the new UT HC that we will be in a state of shock as to how we finish out in our recruiting class as well as some surprises on those who have the grades and decide to stay for a run at the SEC CC game...

We are going to look like clowns if we don't get Strong

You already do. While UT does provide a stronger conference, have more fans and play in a bigger stadium, it appears that we have one of the good ones as a coach. Coach Strong may looking at things like quality of life for his family while still coaching in a BCS conference for a school that has a passionate fan base and much nicer (maybe not bigger) stadium......must be a reason that so many people are turning you guys down.

You may be right.........I just hope they don't play the same kind of "grown-man" football that the Troy Trojams brought into Neyland Stadium. I will make sure to look you up after January 2nd.

Please I beg you to. Although I got a pretty good feeling you want even know the final score because you'll either leave the game early or turn the tv off by the end of the 3rd although now you've made it a win win for myself because now I'll be watching a game that I wasn't even going to devote a second to (just like most other college football fans want) and if UF routs you it'll put a smile on my face and if Ville gets lucky and pulls a huge upset off well that UF loses and I'll still be smiling.
