    You do realize that Tennessee is ranked 26 (247)/25 (composite) and Vandy is ranked 37th (247)/30 (composite), right?

    Agree with DL....secondary has plenty of depth with Randolph McNeill Johnson Gray Jones and others...plus what next years class already looks like.

  • My bad i was looking at espn updated rankings where vandy is 21 and tn is 30.

  • I will take quality over quantity any day. Not to mention, after the first winning season in a long time we will stack the next class and have plenty of room to do it.

  • I agree and Auburn having a new coaching staff and doing what they did. I know Butch didn't have a lot of time but would have been nice to at least get one 5* or at least finish in the top 20. Dooley surely did mess this class up. Be careful though the last time I said anything bad about Dooley I got like 20 down votes cause you cant voice your opinion on here unless its sprinkled with sugar

  • I'm more worried about LB than D-line or DB. Were there no back-up plans for this position? Levenberry, Johnson, Moore....gee , wouldn't you think somebody would love to play there immediately? From Hacksaw to Al to Mayo we've been known for LBs every bit as much as WRU.

    So true, it is amazing how the people here blast people for having an opinion that's not popular. It was one of the reasons I joined to see if it was different here. I guess the Internet Badazzes join pay sites to. lol blackeye The Auburn thing washes in the face of those who use the we only had a month excuse.

    Def...VFL but Dooley knows nothing about that. But with the little time that Coach Jones had to clean up the mess in knoxvegas im happy with the skill position commits. I careless being down voted Dooley was a awful coach. Im just ready to see Coach Jones get this team back to winning on the field and off the field.

  • I'm happy with the skill positions as well. I read on Twitter that Trent Dilfer suppose to have said he thought we had the best QB class in the country. I do believe with the receivers we have and the QB and O line it could be special on Offense. We need some better talent on def secondary and Def front

    but they weren't even close to Tennessee in either the 247 or 247 Composite rankings.

    No DV's but ignoring the fact that Malzahn was only one year removed from Auburn and had already been involved with the recruitment of some of these guys is not logical when evaluating the two staffs. The easiest thing in the world would be saying when Malzahn left things fell apart and now he is back and he does have NC ring. IJS

  • The key is only FL and UGA really out recruited us.....we have a better class than Vandy again (only ESPN only really thinks Vandys is better). We are basically tied on one site and kill them on the other 2 sites. We also are very similar to USCe class. You could easily make the argument that we are tied for 3rd in the east and thats what really counts at this point bc that is all we should worry about is winning games now and maybe competing for the the SEC east title in 2015.

    You can ignore both the Scout and ESPN rankings since they exclude JUCO players. So that leaves Rivals (which seems to be getting less and less reliable by the week), the 247, and 247 Composite...

  • If we was going by rankings at least we got 17 three star players and 4 four star players. Just saying what my father has told me since we lost the great Fulmer. Son you cant take three and two star players and beat a squad who starts nothing but four and five star players. We need wins on the field to win off the field.
