2014 (legacy class)

  • With the way things are looking now I'll be honest guys I don't expect us to finish with many if any of our highest targets coming to Tennessee. This leads me to next year's class. The 2014 class is full of very talented kids from Tennessee and also a ton of legacy kids. We already have Wharton committed and he will help recruit other prospects out of Tennessee. With Butch Jones having a full year to recruit these guys next year could be a great class for us. I'm much more optimistic about that class than this one. It's tough to pull prized recruits away when you only have a few months to do it.

I agree. He will have 2 months this year to get a class together, and that is tough with the high profile recruits. Next year will be a big year for this staff and team. A bowl game this year will go a long way for them.

  • Who do you think we are going to land in 2013 class? I think we have great chance at Derrick Green, if CP leaves we get Marquez North and then I think we land a shocker like Stacy Coley and we get one elite defensive recruit

  • I think the 2014 class could be top 5 or so. Jones has work to do, but it sounds promising with a lot of high rated guys.

This years class is filling some needs and having to do it in a short time so I'm not expecting top 10, but we could get close to that if we close strong.

that is some serious optimism dog. Ill tell you what, if we get even close to the top 10 this year and the top 5 next year, i would be thrilled.

Top 10 this year is a stretch and we'd have to pull pretty much all the big recruits like green or the new 5 star back that has mentioned us. And I didn't mean top 10, I just meant close to it. I should've said top 15. Next years class could be huge though. There are around 5 or 6 highly rated guys just counting legacies. If Jones and staff make a good show on the field we could be in for a really good class.

  • Would be a great story if The Legacy Class leads Tennessee's rise to the top.

I'd be pleased with top 25 at this point as long as we fill needs.
