A Year From Now....

  • After evaluating today's signings, what are the most important positions of need for next year?

I am considering QB and WR in good -very good standing currently. Kicking game adequate, maybe shopping for another punter? RB and the entire defense need help and we know how hard the O-line will be hit by graduation. So for me:
    1) LB extremely thin here. Hoping Maggitt returns healthy.
    2) D-line especially DTs
    3) DBs a 5star caliber or two to act as salve for the VB spurning
    4) O-line will need 2 or 3 Jucos and 2-3 high school high stars
    5) A premium RB with power and speed (here's hoping Jabo is healthy and another Rajon to complement Lane)

Defense in any sport tends to be the cornerstone to championships. I guess that precept guided my thinking. Go Vols. Rise to the Top. vols

  • Thanks for the reply Denver. The lack of LB commits was the most disappointing aspect of this recruiting class for me, even more so than losing out on Vonn Bell. I was/am puzzled as to why guys like Cunningham or Skai Moore did not jump at the chance to come to the Vols after checking out our depth chart.
