While no one ever proclaimed Nichols to be a Vol lock, recruiting experts around the Southeast liked Tennessee's position the entire time. I'll be interested to know what went wrong for the Vols -- or what went right for Memphis. I'd imagine location was a major factor. Still, I'm pretty surprised by this decision.

Just talked to Mark Nichols, Austin's dad. Said they spent the past week assembling a 58-page report on all options. Settled on Memphis.

Agreed in terms of talent, but at the end of the day we are going to need a big. Maymon, Hall, and Miller graduate. Realistically, Stokes will leave early. That leaves Yemi as the only post player on the roster. So I ask again, what other options are out there?

Why the hell would anybody see any promise in going to Memphis? They have a loaded roster every year and do nothing with it. Oh well on to the next one.
