    Folks,

    We are very excited to announce that we are partnering with The Davidson County UT Alumni Chapter to host a football preview event on Thursday, Aug. 23 at Cabana in Nashville.

    Wes and Ryan will share predictions for each game, give behind-the-scenes insights into the team and coaching staff, and also discuss 2013 recruiting.

    There will be plenty of time for a question and answer session as well. I know we answer almost all your questions on the board, but this is another chance to get us face to face.

    5:00 PM – Orange & White Cocktail Reception

    5:30 PM – Program

    Where: Cabana (back patio)

    Cost: Admission to the event is $5. Finger foods will be provided by the Davidson County UT Alumni Chapter, and there will be a cash bar available.

    ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS. Please print your ticket and bring it with you to expedite entry into the event.

    Seems like there has been some confusion about this event - so let me clarify .....

    This event is for any fan that wants to come. It's not just for the alumni association folks. It for any Vols fan that wants to hand out with other Vols fans and talk with Wes, Ryan, etc., about the upcoming season, their insider thoughts on the team, the 2013 and 2014 recruiting classes and more. Should be an awesome time.

    Two biggest reasons to register ahead of time are to make sure you get a spot, and avoid the line for those who are walking up and trying to get in the night of the event. If you print your ticket ahead of time, you can walk right in and get started and avoid the registration/payment line.

    Hope to see a ton of you there on Thursday. Spread the word, should be a blast.

    Just speaking for myself here, but I think Wes and I will be a bit too busy talking and answering questions on stage to provide updates on the board. Perhaps Kevin will be able to do something like that.

    This is why it's important for everyone to come out. It's an exclusive opportunity to meet Wes and me — which, of course, is not a big deal at all biggrin — and ask any questions on your mind about the upcoming season or anything related to Tennessee football. Of course, you can do that here every day on the board, but it's more fun in person.

    You'll also get our game-by-game predictions for the upcoming season, which I'm still trying to figure out. Predictions like that are tough to do, but I guess we'll give it a shot.

    Should be a good time. Look forward to seeing you all there.
