    Hart and Sal are VERY familiar with one another from Bama... wouldn't surprise me if he did like him. That said, I don't see how he gets kept with a new coach coming.

    Just want to start out by saying, I cannot believe how unbelievably rude some of the people have been after the last time I provided an update but I know it's an emotional time, everyone can relax you're getting your #1 choice. Janet said Cindy is so excited that Jon has officially agreed to the deal with the Vols. She wanted to be in Knoxville this week for the announcement but the kids have school; which they will stay at until the Christmas break. Yes, the announcement is happening this week according to Cindy and she is oozing with excitement. Again, congrats I think you'll love them; they are TN through and through!

    At the game Saturday a friend of mine that works with the football program said that the word around the complex was that an announcement was coming this week. He did not know a name but that he was hearing that an announcement was coming.

  • here is the my other note that I would like to add... Wes reported that Hart would be meeting with people in NYC this weekend... not sure why he would be doing so if we were making an announcement this week. I mean, maybe it is a backup plan if this falls through, but seems far fetched.

  • Lets say Biljones can man up and simply tell us if he lives in Tennessee and if so, what county it might be. I assume, if he's real, he doesn't live in Tennessee or is a Vandy fan. There's been a lot of "you guys got your man" kinda talk.

  • I've read your threads. No one has been rude to you. Nowhere near as rude as they will be when they realize that you have gotten their hopes up because they want to believe so badly that they can't bring themselves to ask quite obvious questions about your appearance here.

    That said, kudos on your persistence. You've been dedicated to this troll and I applaud you for that. I'm amused.

    But Vol fans - trust me on this. This is not legitimate.

    Is it possible that we get Gruden? Unlikely, but possible. Is it possible that this is a legitimate insider with info? The chances that we get Gruden are MUCH higher than the chances this guy is legit, and the chances we get Gruden are slim to none.

    This guy is a smart troll. Never thought I would say those two words together, but he is playing his cards well. Instead of posting and then engaging where he could be interrogated and exposed, he drops a post and then disappears for a while. That way, he gives what information he wants to concoct and doesn't risk getting tripped up.

    If this poster turns out to be accurate, I will be the first in line to buy him a steak dinner. But he isn't legit. Please stop giving him the pleasure of entertaining his fantasies.

  • I haven't said much about this poster, but I do think a lot of you are being unnecessarily rude. He hasn't been abusive with this supposed info, nor has he been in our faces about it. It's just a rumor and if he just made it up...fine. I'll take a wait and see attitude before I write him off or run him out.

    Texassee, I disagree on two points, but I agree with you elsewhere. First of all, he's already been tripped up when he said Jay Graham would be named interim coach. Once he got caught on that he disappeared again and has been smart enough to do his ring and runs.
    I also disagree that you should buy him a steak dinner if this proves true. If Gruden is hired, there is no chance that this troll knowanything about it. It would be just dumb luck on his part.

    It was the last one he posted where a couple of guys really started ragging him. I'm at work and don't have time to go back and look at it. It wasn't everyone. We're a pretty good community as a whole, but some of our guys did let into him a bit on his last post before this one.

    The reason I haven't posted this earlier is I didn't want anyone jumping off cliffs or speculating even more because we know all about speculation around here. All I'm saying is, at least with myself, I could confirm if the Janet I know is the same one were talking about. That's all

  • I find it kind of odd that he creates a topic on gruden and only gruden then he doesn't really give any answers to people that question him. I guess what im saying is he doesn't socialize with his own topics. If he was legit I would like him to give a little more insight to what he is saying cause he's got alot of people a little confused over his post. We don't know if his wife is even friends with Grudens wife he has never given conformation of this when many people have asked for it. If he was stating true facts he wouldn't care to back them up a little. I don't know if I can believe him because of this. When he can back up what he says then I might believe him. Im not saying he is wrong but he just needs to prove to me that he is right until then I will read but I won't take what he is posting to be fact.

    Exactly, its like he throws this out there at us and then sits back and laughs at us on how we eat it up and get so excited over it. I want gruden just as bad as anyone else but I will have to wait til I see it to believe it.

    We've not been rude, but some of us are simply guarded and hesitant after the past 5 very emotional years for what was a once solidified and confident fanbase.
