Anyone see Dawg asst talking smack to our ball boy?

  • Think it was first half and CBS camera showed Dawg coach(Grantham I think) really chewing on our sideline ball boy after they had made a big play. He was either talking some serious junk to the young man or chewing the kid out for something. Anyone else see this or know anything about Grantham?

  • I did as well--think he was in the D cordinators way when we were moving the ball. He got on the kid tha twas our ball boy on their sideline.. I assume he was in the coachs box and he got in the way. He is also the same coach that went after Franklin at Vandy so it is what it is and nothing more than that.

  • This happens all the time, I can tell you from experience. We have to stay within a certain distance from the line of scrimmage so its not like we can just get out of the way...Definitely a big shoulder bump from Grantham and some words exchanged...pretty funny how low they will go lol. Chip Kelly was the worst. Talked a whole bunch of ish to me, a manager, the whole game. And got a strange amount of pleasure from it.

You ever felt like throwing the ball at them? It seems it would be hard to keep your cool in some of those situations.

Oh it definitely is...if you're on their sidelines you pretty much catch hell from all directions. It's pretty hard not to react, but its kinda like a badge of honor getting to be over there and get under their skin...just by standing.

  • A good-sized chunk of college football coaches are the kinds of guys that stuffed kids in lockers when they were young.

Just kinda how it is, really.

I know you're referring to the Muschamp's and Sunseri's of the world, but the visual of Lou Holtz trying to stuff anyone in a locker was the first thing that popped in my mind.

    lol

  • I can't really see Dooley stuffing anyone in a locker either.......unless it was Lou Holtz.

    westtnvolfan

  • I can see CSS doing it, and saying "It's just like anything else, the kid will get out of the locker when he gets out of the locker, and maybe he learned something and will do a better job of defending himself next time"roflmao

And now they work for those kids that they stuffed in lockers (ADs) and get hired and fired by them

Everybody works for somebody, atleast 99.99% of people do. But Id say a college football coach is doing pretty well for himself on the food chain making 2-4 million a year.

  • Who here got stuffed in a locker? The closest I got was passing out in one my senior year before b-ball homecoming.

    Ouch?

    I am confused.

I'm just sayin' ... Dooley has always struck me as the type who would stuff a nerd in a locker and then high-five his buddies and laugh about it. And it makes me laugh.

Sorry for the confusion. Never thought much of someone who would stuff someone in a locker for the benefit of impressing their friends. Guess I had not thought about Dooley in that fashion. That's all.
