Are there any other Vol fans in Utah???

  • Help, I'm a lonely vol fan in Utah. The closest thing i've met to a Vol fan in Utah is all the stupid fans of Florida because Urban Meyer coached Utah before Florida. I'm outnumbered big time!! I need some help representing in Utah!

    GO VOLS!!! vols

It's been a terrible winter up until last week. We've got about 4-5 feet in the mountains in the past 7 days. Should be great skiing now!!

thats great news b/c it has been horrible up until now ; thought about cancel the trip but hoped it would finally snow - headed to Deer Valley which is one of my favorite places to ski and EAT . Stay at Park City when we go and then ski different areas depending on ski conditions etc...love that area of the country and easy access to Salt Lake City

  • If your a skier I would highly recommend Alta. They have some amazing runs, and this year they've been lucky with the snow. They have 2-3 more feet of snow that any other resort right now.

I've always lived in Utah, but my brother in law is from Knoxville. He introduced me to UT football in '98. Seen every game ever since. I've got a framed tostitos bag with the '98 BCS Champion VOLS on it!!

love the Lake , one of my favorite places to go - just think that Salt Lake is soo easy to get to and the drive is only 50 min away from the airport ; we normally stay in Park City which we like and there are lots of options in terms of ski areas from there . Lake Tahoe is the bomb and one of my favorite places to ski in the Spring.. when there is snow - you can sometimes ( depending on the weather ) ski in the morning , play golf in the afternoon and gamble at night - hard to beat if you like to gamble

If you're a skier then you aren't gonna find much better than Alta. It is a Skier only resort with some of the best snow in Utah, which is saying something. I've been a Snowboarder for 12 years, and I recently picked up Skiing just so I could go to Alta.

  • In my earlier years, I had the opportunity to spend a week skiing at Park City. Loved the slopes, but the town itself is magical. What made the trip even more spectacular was watching the "Miracle on Ice" with about 100 rabid hockey fans. Also the old silver mining town theme is something special.

As far as the slopes, my favorite resort was Jackson Hole. Definitely have some "big boy" slopes that I think I still carry some bruises from!

Jackson Hole is exceptional but wow are you right , there are tons of expert slopes and it wasnt easy for my wife and her friends to ski some of their intermediate slopes b/c they were soo tough . still amazing place to ski - alot tougher and more expensive to get to than Park City

  • Went to Steamboat over the holidays and we are heading to Telluride next month.

Been to most places in North America and rank Telluride #1, then Park City/Deer Valley. Really enjoy Steamboat too. Some of the best powder in the rockies.

love steamboat as well for the powder but not alot of places to hang out at night which isnt all bad b/c normally tired as heck by the end of the day ; Telluride is great as well

  • My daughter is a junior at BYU and does/has worn her orange to every one of their home games (if it does not conflict with watching Tennessee on TV or online).

It drives her roommates and friends crazy. She keeps it real with them about the SEC too.

Tahoe just got a couple of feet of snow this past week. I can see the Nevada runs of Heavenly from the front door of the Subway I have. Heavenly also has one of the biggest snowmaking systems on the west coast and it's been cold enough to crank out a lot of snow for the past couple of months, so as long as you like to stay on the groomed runs, the conditions are pretty good.

  • Love skiing in Park City/ Deer Valley. Watched the UT v UF game where Dane Bradshaw made the late steal to seal the game at some pizza joint there with lots of Vol fans. Favorite place to vacation
