BCS & Bowl game match-ups

Of course they have already announced Bama vs. Notre Dame for the National Championship.
What is funny, although only 2 teams from a conference can go to a BCS Bowl, the SEC dominates the Top 10 rankings. Can't wait until we are back in the mix!

Wow, Herbstreit is really laying into the BCS system for allowing NIU in over the SEC teams and Oklahoma, Etc. He is being brutal!

If I'm a betting man and the FSU line opens up big I'm betting my mortgage on NIU.. FSU will likely have an interim coach, NIU had EVERYTHING to play for and FSU has no reason to be excited about this game.. Not saying NIU wins but man it could be interesting

Just want to say I have no problem with NIU getting into the game. This crappy system is in place, and they worked the system. Good for them. Wisconsin and Louisville did the same thing. ? would it make me a bad Vol fan to buy a NIU Orange Bowl T?

Not really a huge deal, but a 7-5 Western Kentucky team received a bowl bid over an 8-4 MTSU team. Didn't MTSU also beat Western? Just found that interesting.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. MTSU heading to C-USA is the best move they could have made. Will not be a problem anymore.

Think there might have been some politics involved there. A lot of people think MTSU was passed over because it's leaving for Conference USA. The Sun Belt took a vote among its member schools earlier today, and I guess WKU was recommended by the conference.
The Little Caesars Bowl people didn't have to take the Sun Belt's recommendation, but I'm assuming they did. Can't think of many other reasons to take WKU over an MTSU team that had a better record.

Ryan, If that is the case. That is petty on the part of the sunbelt. The Sunbelt which had a rather good year in my eyes. It is too bad really.
