Other folks outside of 247 are saying that UT will have a major announcement soon for basketball involving Pearl and Hamilton. Could be garbage internet rumors but someone here may be in the know with details. Anyone?
You'll have to ask me about a specific rumor. I don't know of anything imminent, but the NCAA's letter to UT could come anytime.

If you haven't heard anything that's good enough for me. Some are saying the NCAA found more than expected on basketball and UT was recently notified, but that doesn't seem to be the case then.
I can't say it has or hasn't happened. I can just say no one has told me. People want things immediately, and I get that, but sometimes things stay contained. I want to be first more than everything ... except being right.
Gotcha. Thanks Wes.
Unfortunately, I think we all expect bad news out of this. I only hope it is something that will allow Pearl to continue as coach. The timing can't be very much longer.
I think we will be "okay" if Pearl is let go. He woke up a sleeping monster (our fanbase) by winning and has improved our facilities so much. Hamilton will be able to hire a top notch coach and continue our success.
I feel terrible for our current staff....they are all great coaches. I wish we could keep them. Nobody has really mentioned how our entire STAFF lied to the NCAA. They have to go. It is unfortunate that Pearl has put himself, his team, and our University through this scandal.
I agree with Bray. Our basketball program is much more attractive now than when BP got here. If he is no longer our coach, I think we'll be okay.
Honoring the greatest coach of all-time ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Neyland
Who knows? Maybe we can even get a coach who can generate a decent half-court offense and teach the team to shoot jumpers and free throws?
good points bdb...would like to see pearl and staff stay but completely understand if that isn't possible
