    Tennessee defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri said Wednesday that he once again was frustrated by the big plays the Vols allowed in their 51-44 loss to fifth-ranked Georgia.

  • The only problem with this line of thinking from Sunseri is that he said at the beginning of the year this defense was ready to play. Now he's saying they aren't ready to play and they aren't doing what they need to do to get ready. Which is it Sal? Are you now saying you really didn't know what you were doing and now that you do, the players aren't just good enough, or smart enough, or willing to work enough? Sorry pal, but in my business, the buck stops at the guy in charge.

  • I'm going to disagree on the "missed tackles" critique. In most of the big play scoring runs this year, the dude was never touched. Which is really astonishing. One time a year, maybe someone gets loose for a 70 yard run untouched. Maybe. But half a dozen times? Something is amiss. If it were simple mistakes like "run fits" etc..wouldn't you think WE would get a few long breakaway scores as well? Or are we the only team that makes these mistakes? Not pointing fingers, just sincerely asking..

  • As a Pike, the chapter at UTK has given the entire International frat a black eye, or red butt, whichever is more accurate. I hope Memphis (HQ) deals with this swiftly and snuffs the story. Unfortunately I think politics is going to be a big player as UTK has one of the largest alumni chapters in the world...i.e. the UTK chapter has graduated more than many frats have in their entire history.

    If they wanted to snuff the story, they should never have held that presser. What a cluster... Know nothing about the organization as a whole and don't care much about their reputation but know they have sullied UT's. as if we needed some bad press...

    I can hear other coaches now:
    "You can come here and play or go butt chug at UT."
    "You can't spell bUTtchug without UT."

    The hits just keep coming. There is an infinite black cloud over this institution right now. I laugh to keep from crying.
