Biggest cover up in sports maybe now has more proof- New England

  • is now 8-7 in the playoffs after getting busted for taping other teams signals and warmups and esp the preSuperBowl walkthrough of the Rams. They were 9-0 prior. Its interesting the NFL destroyed the evidence immediately. IMO they had to do it unless they wanted to strip the titles from NE + expose the NFL and NE to massive lawsuits from teams, fans and people that made/took legal wagers

  • They really need to do a 30 on 30 or E60 on this cover up

I think New England year in and year out is still the class of the NFL. No team in recent history has been consistently good to great every year like they have.

Truthfully, 8-7 in the playoffs isn't great, but it isnt horrible. Peyton hasnt been exceptional in recent years in the playoffs and look at the Cowboys in recent years for really bad.

I do agree though that Spygate has played a role in them not winning a 4th or 5th Championship.

I think the point of this post is that, their winning record both regular, and post season is questionable and tarnished due to spy gate. Only thing that has stopped them from winning more championships is having been caught. I find nothing classy about this, but do find it classless. If they hadn't been busted, and wasn't doing this kind of fraudulent behavior, and still winning, I would agree that they are a class act. Until proven otherwise, they are cheats, and the NFL is a patsy for covering it up.

they'll never do it, ESPN is in love with Brady.

  • Any day Brady and the Patriots lose is a good day! No class organization with a no class coach.

Completely agree with this. 8-7 in the playoffs is still a pretty good record...plus 2 Super Bowls (losses but still got there).

You are right! Brady/Patsies and Espn are like Obama and cnn, msnbc etccc.... They have made him god like despite all the wrong doing. They'll say nothing negative about the two.

And unlike Peyton, it won't be Brady's fault they lost. They'll come up with a multitude of excuses for why they lost but none will involve Brady.

  • Glad Shannon Sharpe called out Belichek last night for being classless and generally miserable. I'm not a big conspiracy theorist but the Patriots always seem to get the calls in big games. Does anyone honestly think if the hit from Mayo on Pitta had been Ed Reed on Welker a flag and ensuing fine would not have been the result?

  • Wow looks like we've got a lot of haters on the board.. Ha ha. I, for one, am not. I don't see how you can hate on a guy that comes from nowhere and leads a team to a Super Bowl championship when their veteran starting qb goes down. And just simply continues to win while everything around him changes. Also relative to the team, sure they got caught with spygate, but if you think they were the only team doing that then you are completely naive. They fired a guy and he got mad and ratted them out and they were used as the example for the rest of the nfl. And I don't think it's fair to say that is the only reason they won.. They have won 10 of the last 12 division championships along with 5 Super Bowl appearances and 3 victories.. They just keep winning, with different receivers, different coordinators, different everything.. What other franchise has won more?

Not a hater at all...on the contrary, I am a big fan of Brady's talent and accomplishments. I am also fans of individual players on the patsies. Just as the saints were busted in the bounty hunting scandal and were hammered with fines and suspensions, the patsies should have been hit as hard, but it merely got swept under the rug. It is an abomination to think of how the NFL handled it. Are the saints not worthy of the same type of treatment? Regardless of how the NFL found out, they should have completed an in-depth investigation. Did they? Heck no!!!! The patsies are their "golden" boys, and they can do no wrong. If it had been the giants, cowboys, redskins or ravens etc...it would have been the scandal of the NFL ages!
