Black Jersey's Anyone?

Definitely, but do them right. None of that mismatched crap with the diff color pants. Black everything.They looked like a high school team out there. And actual names on the back. And don't screw up the numbers. Q Hancock had to get tape to his jersey so it formed the correct number.

Absolutely for one game. About the only Kiffin moment I enjoyed. Bought lots of black and Orange Tennessee gear since.

A lot of that was because they decided the week of the SC game to wear black jerseys, so there wasn't time to get jerseys like their normal orange or white sets. I think it was someone local that silkscreened them in order for the team to have them for the game.
I do agree with the notion of a black-on-black set for a game this season, but UT plays at Vandy, so it would have to be another game. Given Dooley's attention to detail when it comes to the uniforms, there's no way he'd decide to go with black uniforms unless he knew there was a set that actually matched the orange on the helmets.

I would like it if done right. Can't have the normal orange with white T helmet with zero black like last time too. That said...it ain't gonna happen.

I am for it. Maybe one game every other year instead of every year.
While we are talking jersey colors, I'd like to see some SEC teams activate the rule that allows both teams to wear their traditional colors. Tennessee in orange and Alabama in crimson on the Third Saturday in Knoxville would be awesome.

I am big on tradition and back in the day UT wore black unis so to suggest it's not our tradition is an invalid point. I also feel that the kids need something more to get up at times and changing a uniform seems to help. I am all for black unis.
