Blake Rolan?

Bearcats fan here. So per Twitter at least Darin Hinshaw is going to be the QB coach/passing game coordinator at UC, which sounds pretty good to me based on what you guys thought of his recruiting abilities at least. There was also some random Twitter rumor about Blake Rolan becoming the WRs coach at UC. Wasn't he a pretty low level guy on your staff this past year? Maybe that rumor is crazy or something, any insights on Blake Rolan or Hinshaw? Thanks.

wish coach jones would have kept hinshaw he was a very good recruiter..you got a steal in a coach

Rolan was an intern for UT this year, but he helped offensive coordinator Jim Chaney in the press box on game days. He was highly regarded by the former staff.

Hinshaw is very good on and off the field. Good coach, good recruiter and a real classy guy. Hope he does well for you guys

Hinshaw is a good recruiter, not sure how good of a coach he is, I honestly think he is a better QB coach then WR coach, I am sure a bunch of people will throw up numbers to say he was a great WR coach, But IMO I thought our WR's were soft this year and the routes they ran were lazy.
I think his more natural position is QB coach.

Thanks for coming by bcat. Cincy is, and will continue to be a great program. Best wishes. This coaching silly season has really been...well, silly. No less than 4 UT-UC staff members could have just traded houses.

I have stopped by from time to time the past few days since Jones hire. I have to tell you guys, you are a classy group. I used to travel to Knoxville for business....nice area...really liked it. Maybe UC and Tennessee can play again in the future. Best of luck with Coach Jones. I liked him....hoped he'd be around a bit longer.
