Ok I paused the game for this- good job Ryan! I think he will be a asset to this team and has a head start.
With Arnett leaving could see playing time there

Watching the NT game lets us know how far away we are from being on top again, but on a more positive note, I really like this Blanc kid. Seems like he can play a lot of positions.

I love this kid. He is one of my favorite players in this class. He has great speed(4.41) to go along with his 6'2 205 frame. I know he didn't play against great competition, I live about 45 mins from his high school and I keep track and watch a ton of HS football here in east Tennessee, but his film is RIDICULOUS.... He looks like a man among men. He shows great ability to find the hole, hit it with speed and surprising power, shows good field vision, break away speed and good balance/ability to fight off tackles, shows good hands, shows the patience to allow his blocks to set up on screens and draws. VTech wanted him as a running back and so did several other schools but IMO I see him playing safety and/or slot wr with some special roles at RB and WR reverses to take advantage of his playmaking ability and speed. I have had a hard time finding defensive film on him tho, if anyone has a link to that I would really appreciate it.

with our current depth at WR being so weak, i think there is a good shot they will start him out at WR..... although, i'm not sure he will ever be a starter..... Sounds like he is a good kid and decent athlete, but i don't view him as an elite athlete or SEC starter..... I might be wrong, but that is my initial opinion....

yeah that's what I pointed out in my earlier post, i live about 45 mins from his HS and the level he plays is not that good, i watch a lot of east TN HS football and i made it out to seem him twice this year but he was the best ATH on the field by far.... tho the same was said about devrin young last year and it turned out to pretty well.

Not comparing him to Hershel Walker but that was the rap on him since he played 1A ball in Georgia. Could this kid be a steal? Don't know but it's going to be fun watching for the next few years. Speed is always a good thing and he has speed and size.

+1 tnbear..... my point exactly. kids that come from small schools and play vs little competition are often overlooked for that reason but if a kid is a baller then he is a baller no matter what kinda competition he plays.

Maybe it is just me, but taking Blanc was kind of a risky take in the first place. To not even have a firm idea of what role he is going to play, is a little worrisome.
I like him as a player, and think he is a good kid, and future ambassador for the VFL program. However, I'm not sold on how much he will contribute in his time here. I definitely feel the coaches should have a an idea of his role going into Spring ball. Hopefully I'm wrong. Flame away!

Jason Witten played ball here in East Tn.didn't seem to effect him.I get we're you are coming from,however sometimes talent is talent no matter were you come from.

I watched the youtube video and Blanc looks pretty impressive. I did not realize he is a 4.4 speed guy and with his sized and stay healthy he may be an assest to the program especially in a couple of years.

excited about the kid coming to play for us - always great to get local home grown talent to come play for the "home " team
