Will Bobby Denton still be our announcer this season? I know he's had some health problems recently....
Watching a game in Neyland wouldn't be the same without him announcing.

In Cleveland there is a guy named Corky Whitlock who did radio. One of a kind. He would start counting the RB's yards in the backfield. It would go like this 'Jones for 1,2,3,4,5,6...give him two yards. He's been doing BCHS games for more than 40 years and may still be at it. He loved him some BCHS.

Favorite call ever was when Lou Holtz was coach at USCe and we sacked them twice and they fumbled. It was like 3rd and 50 and Bobby Denton says.."Third down and the River!"

UT allows some of the old timers to stay around way too long. Denton is way past his prime and needs to go. Thankfully he has whipped his alcohol problems and he can now enjoy retirement. Say-good and Gas stayed too long also as did "Bad" Ford. Boobs Kessling has already been at UT too long. He needs to go now.

Once an official said some call or other went against "the yellow team." Next call was a first down for UT. Denton bellowed out, "First and ten for the ORANGE team." We loved it.
Hope Bobby's OK. Us old timers got to hang together.
