I love my Orioles and have since I was about 7 or 8 yrs old and although I feel like you have been in the same boat I have for many years.....watching underachieving teams do just that, underachieve. I still have to say that the Cubs squad that the Hawk played for was stacked and should've put together a championship run somewhere in there. I mean you had guys like Dawson, Maddux, Grace, Sandburg, Dunston, Palmeiro and that's just to name a few! Man I swear it seemed like Baseball was just so much better back then. Maybe it was because I was a kid and it was really my first love as far as sports went but man to me those times were the good ole days. I watched a lot of Cubs baseball back then thanks to WGN channel 5! hahaha! It was either the Cubs or the Braves and I damn sure ain't watching the Braves play!

The last time the Cubs won the World Series Teddy Roosevelt was President, WWI had not occurred and it was 30 years before the Vols won our 1st consensus National Title. Bobby Bowden would say that it has been a dadgum long time...
