I'm expecting near 2500 at the Stone game... Sub-state is about as exciting in the moment as the State Tournament is. Obviously because winning it puts you in the state so its a little bit of an unfair comparison but when you get to have it in our "small" gyms compared to college gyms... its just more intense

Humboldt and Lake Co both have great boys teams- those two could meet again for a 5th time.

CPA, Livingston, and Stone all have chances to have both girls and boys teams in the state.. and they all come from class AA... interesting to me

Can you see the boys from CPA winning Mr Tn over Cole at Stone? I mean for those who do not know. Cole averages about 26 and 12 and is a pure post player at 6'1 maybe 6'2. Its cool that there is a good chance to have all the Mr TN 2A finalists in the state as well. Hope to see all those guys play in a couple weeks

Mitchell High here in Memphis hosts Jackson SouthSide. Mitchell won 4 games last year but rebounded to win 20 this season. Sheffield travels to play Liberty Tech. That's the AA story from Memphis.

When did Sullivan East drop from AAA to AA? Also Hampton dropping back from AA to A has really helped that program a lot the last few years.

I had the privalege of playing in one substate game in HS basketball. My senior year, 2003, at University School (Johnson City), we hosted Rockwood after winning the Regional Tournament. I had to guard their best player, and held him to 9 points, well below his season avg. We ended up beating a 2-loss Cosby team in the state quarterfinals before we lost a close game in the state semifinals. That substate game was easily my favorite game I ever played in during my high school career. Brooks Gym was packed to capacity and fans from our district rivals even came that night to support us.
