Bray/Hunter/CP/McCullers/James

  • SIAP but are these guys leaving? Since its been a couple of days, has any info came out on their thoughts on new coach?

    Here's my take:

    Bray: can make any throw u ask him to make with however much zip u want him to put on it...would wow scouts at combine drills...But I don't think he is mentally ready to be a NFL QB! I think he could thrive in Jones offense...Needs to stay!

    Hunter: poor man Randy Moss...same body type, close in speed, but hands is what makes him the poor man version! Could def be drafted in 1st rd! With the injury, I think he goes to draft...

    CP: what can u say about this guy...most explosive weapon we had on O...however his route running really needs to improve...and another year would definitely improve his stock! And another who would benefit with the no huddle hurry up offense...Toss up but think he goes as well...

    McCullers: beast of a man but could use another yr at college level! But switching back to 4 man front could push him towards draft! He is more suited as a 3-4 nose instead of 4-3 tackle!

    James: most comsistent lineman we have and most experienced! Def will play on Sundays and with Pittman not being retained, chances prolly aren't good but my gut feels he is so close with the O-line he stays another year!!!

  • I think Bray and maybe James are our only chances. I would love to see CP stay another year, but he probably is FAR from qualifying academically from what others have said.

  • Heard McCullers and James are pretty strong leans toward going pro. For some reason I think Bray stays even though everyone thinks he's leaving.

  • We should use McCullers as a second option for AJ in the Beast Mode plays. Haha I can see him now... "Nooo! You can't take me down! Butch, PLEASE!!! I put da team on my back!" flex (That won't be funny unless you know the reference...)

  • I think all of them except Bray should stay another year. Bray can't run and it would appear that he might have to do at least a little of that in Jones' offense. I am not sure he is a great fit. I actually think, however much physical ability Bray has, that UT might be better off if Bray went ahead to the NFL. I think all of the rest would be better served by staying another year.

  • I think McCullers would most certainly benefit the most by staying an additional year. James and Bray would be huge and I think we have a shot at keeping them here (outside shot). Hunter, I wish him the best and hope by some freak possibility that he stays. As for Patterson, he is already gone. I think it was Wes that said he hasn't been seen on campus for some time now.

    I still question whether Bray is mentally ready to be a COLLEGE QB, let alone pro! I think he needs to stay another yr and maybe Jones can knock all that "crap" out of his head.
