Butch Deserves Blame for Graham Leaving...

Graham was 2nd lowest paid coach on staff. Unacceptable and I mentioned this a few months ago, Can't bame Graham for leaving. Butch got HIS GUYS big raises and Graham got left behind.

This is true Graham got a raise when Butch came in. If he left his University for more money then good for him let him go. $ mean more than VFL I guess. Don't think u can just go out and blatantly blame Butch for this. Especially when nothing has even came out yet. If it was Graham's greed for more $$$ then how can u blame Butch when he gave him a raise!?!?

Graham cannot be the 2nd lowest paid on any staff. A coach like Graham always as options. By keeping him that low it just left the door open for him to be poached.

Butch gets blame or credit. Fishers staff decimated much like Dooley last year. Fisher desperate I guess. Can't believe we didn't get a chance to match. Graham not one of butchs boys. The show must goon w/ or w/o. JG.

I think we can get somebody who wants to be here and be just as good if not better. Sure Jay did ok here but it wasn't like he was all world . If he wasnt a firmer Vol he wouldn't get as much praise

I don't understand this. I don't know what Graham was paid, you guys saw it somewhere and I'm not disputing that. It's just that Graham interviewed for the job, he WANTED to be here knowing what his contract was and he doesn't even last, what, 2+ months after ASKING TO BE RETAINED. I'm completely aggravated, confused and disappointed. I realize VFL does not mean you have to stay here FOR LIFE, but I'd expect it to last more than 2 months.

I agree with Hueypilot, Jones gets credit or blame and we just don't have enough information yet. What we do know is that we haven't signed a major running back since Jay got here. Maybe that isn't his problem but we sure signed a lot of good receivers and a couple of good defensive players... We loved Jay as a player but he may not have been a good fit with this staff. Let's see who Jones brings in and what he does before we make judgements.

Given none of us has a clue what the FACTS are about why he left, or what happened, why don't we let this play out and see what emerges rather than jumping to conclusions so quickly? I can see your point Drizz, I had that thought as well as to why he might leave, but let's wait and see what comes out. I hate it cause I love Graham, but as cliche as it sounds there are always 2 sides to every story.

We've been second for a number of RBs which gets you nothing. Gotta let Butch be Butch a with his guys and evaluate on W/L record and progress of overall program PLUS keep us on the sports page and off the front page.
