Not slamming u driz, but I think this post is definitely putting the cart before the horse. JG has worked hard here, but I haven't seen him produce anything great since Lattimoore, which is hard to judge when you consider the remarkable natural talent that ML is. JG is a valued person and VFL, but I think we can do better from a coaching/recruiting standpoint. Jmo, but I don't think any or definitely all the blame is CBJ.

Graham was named top 50 recuiter this past yr.

how jones give him a 35 thousand raise and rehired him..jones thought since he was a vfl and that is far from the truth,blame jones ummmm NO..but i bet jones bring in some one can get the job done and better recruiter also. jones knows what he has to have in the sec..how can you blame jones?

i think we all can agree on 1 thing ,this has upset us all because we didnt see it even coming and thought he was a VFL?

If I remember correctly on the days up to NSD there were a ton of questions on this and other boards about the ability of CJG to close the deal on a RB. Now I was pleased with the class CJG helped sign and not in any way saying I don't like or wish CJG was a VOL still. But CDD and the staff hired CJG and he agreed to those terms way back when and it was a low(er) number but if not mistaken everyone agreed at the time it had to be guaranteed due to the situation and the unknown status of CDD.

Don't blame CJG one bit for getting paid. It is America and it is his life. Don't blame CBJ for taking care of his guys either--that is the rule and law of the land in any business. Not just C.F.B. CJB was and still is full grown-if he did not like what he was getting paid and neither of us know if he had those conversations with the right people but if he did then yes you can blame those in charge, if he did not or debrief's were held and he did not let it be know he was unhappy about his contract he should have brought it up then and there.

It is the same when a teams player departs due to contract-Albert P (stl Cards) was the same way-they were blamed by some for not getting the deal done-when you look at what they offered and what happened so far it appears both parties made out ok. Just saying that we don't know what happened or happens between the staff and contract talks--so it is what it is and it is a business. just my

That means there are 49 recruiters who are better than he is. I am in no way downing JG, but we need the best RB coach/recruiter we can get. I think we can do better. As much a fan of JG as I am, and hate to see him go, we need to get World Class!
