I have a random question for you and Ryan that probably doesn't really need its own thread: when you sit down to write articles for the site, do you ever use voice recognition software or are you still good old-fashioned type-it-on-the-keyboard guys?

Really enjoying this interview with CBJ. Great stuff ,Wes. I know we have to see it, but I love all the things he is saying about owning this state in recruiting.

Not sure about Wes, but I don't use voice-recognition software. It's expensive, and most of the programs I've seen still aren't accurate on every word, so you would have to go back through it and fix a bunch of words, anyway.
Regardless, I transcribe everything myself. It's undoubtedly one of my least favorite parts of the job.

I dabbled with some dictation somewhere for a while, but I've gone back to old-fashioned typing for now.

But ... yes, as Ryno said, transcribing quotes is DEFINITELY one of the worst parts of the job.
So boring, and you can't listen to music while doing it, obviously.

I really like Coach Jones' confidence. Frankly, that is a HUGE departure from Coach Dooley, who came out of the gate in 2010 with a loser mentality. (Year zero, remember?) Even though I'm deeply concerned about the players we seem to be going after in recruiting and whether they will be able to compete for 60 minutes in the SEC, if his confidence can be transferred to his players, they will surprise a lot of people. Go Big Orange!
