Les Miles has gained over 87,000 followers on Twitter, making him the most popular college football coach on the social media network, according to a study conducted by USA Today.

For those that don't want to click the link, the top 5 coaches in the country (by twitter followers)
1) Les Miles - 87,513
2) Brian Kelly - 81,878
3) Mark Richt - 55,224
4) CBJ - Don't know if it's his total followers, but it said he gained 52,704 followers since Dec 7th.
5) Steve Sarkisian - 43,235I know it doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot, but I do think it's pretty cool to see him that popular already after CDD's lack of social media interaction.

I think it is cool and does say something about this fan base. Recruits nowadays love twitter so to know that our coach is on there tweeting and has a huge following helps Butch relate to the recruits.

I think it's very cool. This fan base should be proud of the fact that we've stayed passionate through the worst era of UT football ever. We keep showing up. We've taken it on the chin a lot and haven't lost faith.
There's really something to be said for that, and I don't think many fan bases would have reacted as we have.
This place has heart and toughness like almost nowhere else.
