Yea I like Strong a lot and think he'd succeed here. But if he runs the table, I wonder if he'd try and get out of Louisville before they get curb stomped in a BCS Bowl...
He does have Bridgewater for 2 more years so he can ride that out if he wanted.

For comparison's sake (and to satisfy my curiosity), I looked up the Rivals class rankings for Brian Kelly's last two years at Cincy (08 and 09) and Urban Meyer's last two at Utah (03 and 04). Kelly's 2008 class was ranked 67th and his 2009 class was 60th. Meyer's 2003 class was 90th and his 2004 class was 76th.

Well Strong has put himself in the position to be the IT coach this year. He's going to be sought after like Meyer and Kelly. I know everyone fell in love with the idea of Gruden. But I think Strong would be a solid choice. Maybe even better. He's been a DC in the SEC for years. A problem I could foresee is Arkansas making a run for him and he is from Arkansas.
A serious question, but would anyone see any problems with a black head coach coming to Tennessee with a beautiful wife who is white? I ask this question because Strong brought it up a few years ago in an article that he felt he had been hindered in head coaching offers because of his interracial relationship.
I'd have no problems and didn't even give a crap until I read that article. It's 2012. I think our fanbase is probably more interested in winning right now rather than who is married to who.
