Strong has been 7-6, 7-6 and 10-2 at Louisville. 10-2 in a VERY down year for a VERY weak conference. Over three seasons he is 13-8 in the Conference. That doesn't translate to winning in the SEC. 2013 will be his 30th yr in coaching and only his third as a head coach, there is more to that than what color he and his wife is.

Everyone says he can recruit......He was recruiting for Florida and SC, not exactly the hardest places in the world to recruit. Now he's at Louisville, and even in the midst of their best season in a Loooooooong time, he is ranked 73rd, behind Tulane, Temple, SMU, East Carolina, UAB, Kentucky, SDSU, Kansas, and Wake.

I get it, he's black and people think that "excites" the type of players that Universities need to be successful, but there are plenty of successful Universities with white head coaches, no need to make a hire based on color. (I only bring this up because my own best friend has said he wants him because he's black and that will bring in the recruits. Which I think is a terrible thing to think and say, but its out there and people think it matters.)
