The CheckerBoard

I do play by play on WXSM for DB football, and this kid really is unbelievable. He lacks heighth and size, (5'11", 170) but he has awareness and the knack for the big play like few players I've seen. His speed and elusiveness with his size reminds me of a Devrin Young type player, I'm not sure if he's an every down SEC receiver like a Cobb. But in the case of missing out on a home state kid, this could be similar to Cobb. Everything's in slow motion for him. And this is a kid who played receiver last year and the first part of this year, and was thrown into the starting QB in a triple option offense when his fellow senior went down. Very impressive. Good kid, good leader.

I've seen this kid play since he was a freshman, he is a stud! He makes everyone else on the field look like they are running in mud. I've wondered why no higher profile programs have offered him.

Not sure about this week. I was referring to the game against Science Hill next week.

I love keeping top in state talent, but if we don't recruit him I hope he ends up at maybe GA Tech where they run a triple option. I think he'd do well.
