    Just because Ryan thinks some of Zo recruits aren't too bad hardly make that a fact. In fact, I think Ryan is way wrong and so do other significant media members who cover ut sports.

    I was an all state basketball player. Played AAU with Ron Mercer, brandan Wharton, jj Swartz, Oliver Simmons, Aaron green and others.

    I'm pretty sure I know what D1 basketball talent looks like.

    We don't have enough D1 talent....I'm just telling you. If you want to wait for the results to make my opinion fact, that's fine with me.

    I laugh at the phenom known as Derek Reese. Kid was all over the AAU circuit....zero interest from top 40 programs....hits a 3 in his first game and now people say "I think this kid can play...."

    Yeah, ok.

    ChrisUT just Butch-slapped you with some facts, yet you still cling to your arguments that ignore reality. You sure you're not a Bammer sent here to mess with the fanbase?

    A couple weeks ago when we started Mcbee, the Nigerian, and Richardson, rob Lewis on Volquest said it was the list highly recruited starting 5 he's ever seen at Tennessee.

    That's very concerning if our head coach thought that was the level of talent we needed.

    "The Nigerian?" What the heck dude show some respect and do us a favor by not posting about UT basketball anymore!

    If the only point you are capable of making is, "if they don't go to the tournament next year he will be fired," just post that.

    Don't bring up talent level, and then refuse to respond to statements you made about talent.

    Also, there is limited logic in saying a program that went to the tournament 6 years in a row should go in year 7. Different players, different RPI's, different programs. If last years team had Tobias Harris and Scottie Hopson, they make the tourney right?

    Actually this is very much opinion unless you talk to Dave Hart and Jimmy Cheek on a daily basis which I assume many on here do not..

    Coming off 6 straight tourney bids and one season removed from 1pt away from the final four.......Zo's year two teams look like Buzz Peterson returned to town.

    I know, I know, maymon is out, but thats only a problem because only one of the 6-7 kids Zo has signed can play at this level. No one recruited the other kids and we now see why.

    You are correct. Just can't recruit and coach at this level. And all you naysayers don't even mention Stokes. What's he proven this year?

  • Man it's delusional and ignorant so called "fans" like OMG who give Tennessee fans a bad name. Like many have said before me, if you're not happy with the product on the court, stop watching the games.

    Coach Zo more than proved himself to me last year. I didn't hear much complaining last season. This team, while they are under performing, was not picked to do anything magical. Call it an excuse if you want, but Maymon not being on the court is absolutely killing us.

    Stop complaining. Stop making us loyal fans, and yourself, look like jackasses. I think we have one of the best coaches in the conference, if not the country. You're an embarrassment to our school and fan base.

    Go Vols, and Go Coach Zo. I believe in you.

    McRae = Only Pearl Recruit Playing well but was spotty before Memphis and needs better defense

    Stokes = 5 star Cuonzo signee that's playing bad and needs help

    Keep in mind that Maymon is out and that Reese and Moore are continuing to get better and that Josh Richardson is stronger than most people thought he would be.

    Cuonzo is running a different offense with Bruce Pearl's players. It takes time. Next year is the year for Cuonzo and was before the season even started. Landry or Lopez can play more PG and we'll have Hubbs (another Cunozo 5 star recruit) along with Maymon and Stokes. Patience is key this year. Yes, they're losing winnable games, but if you don't like it, don't watch, because not much is changing over the next 16 games.

    I think Stokes' struggles are due to a combination of Maymon being out for the season and the so-called "sophomore slump". Stokes will figure it out, but it seems to be taking longer than anyone anticipated (or wanted).

    The thing that really bugs me about Stokes is his body language.. He looked like he didn't give 2 craps about being there today and his play shows that.. Maybe he is acting that way in his work ethic too and that's why the regression is happening. I just don't think this can all be pinned on Martin and company
