FYI: The site now is called govols247 — not GVX247, as it originally was called — and it's been that way for a while now. Not a big deal, just pointing that out.

TOS is reporting that Fedora may not interviewed at all. It's strictly an opinion on their part but significant. I'm guessing the three final candidates are Fisher, Gundy and Strong.

Love the Idea of fedora... Dont know if it will happen but have a strong feeling about this guy and think he can lead us back from our miserable times we have had.. looks like a great offensive mind and will bring a DC that can get us back!

I believe I read where Fedora is one of the few on the target list that is actually going to be in New York. Has there been any confirmation that Hart is going to NY? I know it was reported earlier that he was going, but haven't heard anything more on this lately.

Living in MS I know he was very well liked at USM. Obviously he gets the msot out of his recruits just by looking at what Ellis Johnson did after Fedora left. He also recruits well...Hattiesburg MS is not a mecca of entertainmnet. Since he coached under Gundy, I have no problem with either of them. In fact, Gundy looks better to me once I learned that Fedora was his OC for 3 years. I think Fedora puts a better defense on the field, but that may just be a difference in the conferences they play.
He would be the economical buy of the two...I would be happy with him...don't kno whow much of a name he has with the recruits.
Its not a stupid question until you ask it.

All great points. +1. It's for these reasons that I like Fedora after Strong.
My main concern with Fedora is something that my brother-in-law and I have talked about in regards to Fedora's offense. It may take him a year or 2 to recruit the right players to run his offense properly. It may be fine, but we all saw how Rich Rod did when he tried to stuff a square peg (Ryan Mallet) into a round hole...

So fedora may be in play after all. I am currently on the strong wagon, but to be honest all three remaining candidates are good for the job. I would be fine with Fedora also. Fedora has done a great job at southern miss along with a dang old job in one year at UNC considering the NCAA problems. I think fedora would be a nice fit. Go Vols
