I'd offer Gruden a take-it-or-leave-it $6 million. If he turns us down, call Fedora.
It seems most are assuming gruden wanted to come here. Ut was to make gruden say no to us...perhaps that is just what he is doing....making us say no to him and some ridiculous demands. This way we turned him down, and not him being the bad guy.
Y'all have lost yer mind... No way this guy has done anything in his entire career to merit what you all are talking about. What has he done at the college level to demand that type of salary? He experienced some success in the pros, but that does not necessarily translate to NCAA level... ask about 80% of the coaches who've tried it. He's hi-profile, he's a salesman... but what happens when the limelight dims, and he has to drive to Rhea County on a Sunday night to catch a kid at home? I don't see him enjoying that. I don't see him lasting... he's not who we need... Just sayin' think about it.
You nor I have any idea that Gruden will win here. He has never been a college head coach and he has very little patience. This is a crap shoot, and all of this is pure speculation. The "news" hounds are just ticked that unlike Hamilton, Hart is not telling them anything. Jimmy "I know it all" Hyams said just the other day that he would guarantee that Gruden would not be Tennessee's coach. Now a different tune. Let Hart do the job the Donors will allow him to do and see what happens.
Jon Gruden has a cushy Monday night gig making 4.5 million. What makes you think he would want to get into the mess of college ball?
