I like Strong the best if he keeps our offensive staff, but I also like Fisher or Gundy if they can make a big DC hire like Chizik or Kevin Steele. For that matter, I would be over the moon if Strong was hired, kept the offensive staff and then hired Chizik or Kevin Steele as DC! Is that the most realistic possibility? Probably not, but the point is that any of the coaches can be homeruns based on who they are plus who they hire as their coordinatoors.

WTH??? Did you watch even one highlight from Auburn's season? There's a reason they were worse than we were, and his name rhymes with Strizik.

Fisher is 2-1 against Florida. His recruiting has been outstanding. He won his conference.
He's 100x the candidate Dooley and Kiffin were.

I might could buy some of that.

That would never happen ! Jerry Jones is a control freak and so is Saban no way they could co exist , would not surprise me if Jones is not calling plays after all he is the expert on all things football just ask him .

This is my biggest fear. I'm legitimately worried that we get raises for Fisher and Gundy, then skip Strong to land Golden or Jones. I really hope that's not the case, but as a Vol fan, when was the last time ANYTHING worked out the way we all wanted it to?

I know it could seem that way, but their biggest problem was a three and out offense that got that defense completely beat up and exhausted throughout each game and the season as a whole. Chizik has proved himself to be an impressive DC in the SEC and he is an elite recruiter. Those are the reasons why he got HC opportunities.

One of the reasons I like Gundy is that he seems to be able to run a complete offense like we have been dying for that throw for 350 yards or rush for 250 yards on any given night. Hire a top notch DC and we might be working with something. OK St. also does that with lesser rated recruiting classes than UT generally which makes me believe he's excellent at evaluating and developing talent or he has a history of hiring coaches who are.

I'm just completely and utterly shocked at how many people dont like fisher and think he's not done anything at FSU. It's crazy. He took a program that, from 2005, had gone 8-5, 7-6, 7-6, 9-4, 7-6 and has gone 10-4 (FSU's first 10 win season since 03) 9-4, and 11-2.
It's mind boggling that people don't think the guy can coach

Sorry but I see no reason for pause. The only obvious villain in this appears to be Carlson. There are so many possibilities in this story it's impossible to draw a firm conclusion. Gundy and Fedora both thinking the same thing is consistent. The main question for me is how did Reid get to the conclusion the rant was fake, how did he conclude they had planted the story. Without more info this is a non story, for me, as it relates to Gundy as a coach. I also don't see any references to other players joining Reid in his feelings. Show me those and I will listen.
