Would we take him after the Wiseman committ? That would give us 5 OL unless Skipper signs elsewhere (and i understand thats at least a decent possibility).
So question(s) for those who know much more about this than I do....
If a JUCO has 3 yrs to play 2 that means he only played 1 yr in jr college, right?
Why would we take a JUCO OL who wouldn't see the field next year except in mop up time? Essentially he'd have 1 yr of real playing time
If they are planning to redshirt him - why not take a HS kid instead with 4 years after a RS rather than 2?
I just don't understand the dynamics of signing a player with 2 years of eligibility unless it's expected he would compete for a starting position upon arriving on campus. Theres always the chance Clay would compete for a starting position and I'm not close enough to the current JUCO prospects. I just dont know much about him and look forward to insight of those who do.
