if that butt kicking they got by michigan in the big dance didn't embarass them then to turn around and get beat by a oakland team AGAIN. This team needs a makeover! Need to get rid of Cameron Tatum, Swiper Boy and Kenny Hall. this team i cannot understand where they get they should win just for showing up.Last year it was steven pearl playing big minutes, this year this team looks like they are playing in an AAU tournament,when they think they are the best team and they take the court then get ran by the team that shouldn't be out there..NOT GOOD

Excellent Commentary Wes. There is no "i" in team and these guys need to understand that. However, it is the coach who should sense this during the game and turn the attitudes around. To let them fall off like that and lose is on the coaches. The same can be said about football this season. Get these guys to run through a wall, or bench their butts.

Wes...your article is spot on...I do not sense any leaders among the players...for crying out loud, this is an OVC team...perhaps we should begin looking toward baseball season...I certainly think Serrano will lead this program in a better direction....hard being in the Nashville area and listening to all the Vandy rhetoric (football, basketball, baseball) with nothing to hang your hat on as a Vols fan

Wes, no doubt we have some issues at the offensive end. That said, I don't think Martin should have commented at all on offense in his post game presser. This all falls on defense. You simply cannot allow Peay to shoot over 50% for the game and almost 75% in the 2nd half.

We can talk selfishness on the offensive end all we want, but this team is terrible on the defensive end. I mean, awful.

Memphis beat APSU 91-60. Can't believe Fraley's absence made that much difference....but who knows. Peay was the preseason pick to win the OVC.

In any case this UT team has a long way to go and a short time to get there.

It's amazing what teams and individuals can do when they really want to. Vols didn't seem to have a lot of "want to" yesterday.
