Tennessee defensive tackle commitment Danny O'Brien of Flint, Mich., helped his Powers Catholic High School team advance to the state semifinals with a win Friday night.

  • This is one of my favorite features.

Dang, McNeil with another week of 19 tackles. And Bullock with 2 long field goals

Great stuff Ryan. Any chance we get an update on Otha and how his commitment stands. The guy just seems like a total beast unless he has been playing against the Sisters of Charity. I doubt that is the case. I know a little about La. football since my son played on W. Monroe's '93 State champ team. They play some good football down there.

  • I know it is hard to say for sure until these guys get on campus, but who do you think in this class can make an immediate impact for the vols next year? It really seems like McNeil is a great player, however UT has a lot of young guys at DB that he would have to surpass to get playing time. I really like the depth at receiver for next year with hunter, d rogers, arnett and maybe bowles or croom getting some playing time. I'm most concerned about rb, as a lot of people are. Sure would be nice to steal pender from FSU...is that probably an outside chance at best? Maybe lane will develop nicely during the offseason. I could be wrong but it looks like he needs to work on his speed a little bit. Any chance Imani Cross could be a physical 3rd down back for tennessee next year?

  • I read the other day where aTm has a lot of returning backs. There is still the possibility that Grice could flip.

  • On Petermen:

They handled Creekside pretty well, unfortunately. Petermen looked good but, didn't throw a whole lot. They will clown stomp Ridgeview Fri but, the game will be against Saint Augustine who gave them their only loss.

They didn't add that he threw a pick but, that's just sour grapes. lol

  • This is a good looking class. But I have one question? How many WRs does a team need? Seems like we have a lot of young WRs already and are looking to add more (Patterson, etc). With Hunter, Rogers, Dallas, Arnett, Neal, and Milton already on board. Then we have Broyles, Croom, and Redding already in this class. That makes 9 young receivers. But we're looking to add Patterson and "Pig" Howard (who I think we need to get just based on his name alone). That would make 11. This sounds like a lot to me when we have other needs like DLine and RB.

We need depth. Besides DaRick who else is producing right now? No one. Milton might not be here and does Neal stay at WR? Does Hunter come back 100 percent? A lot of experts say it takes 2 years to recover fully from ACL injuries.

  • How could anyone be upset about taking George Bullock? He hit field goals of 48 and 51 yards? Seriously, I remember the kid that is now a Auburn when he played at Jupiter and he had a cannon for a leg and he missed a 48 and 50 yard FG in a game, also saw Palardy kick in high school and I honestly have no clue what is wrong with the kid, he had a better leg than the kid that is now at Auburn.
