Big Dan McCullers!!
I think him coming back has sort of been glossed over by all of us. If he improves his technique from last year (and toward the end of the season he was) he could become dominant player for our defense in 2013. Teams will literally not be able to run towards his area...plus he will collapse pockets making it easier for speed rushers on the outside to get to the QB. We forget that he hasn't played a lot of major college football and when he learns to play...he will be Un-Freakin-believable!!!
So true. He was so tough to defend towards the end. Can't wait to see how he looks this year.

i hope he tears through that line against oregon
I hope he maximizes his potential. There were moments last year where he was mauling people.
That guy could prove to be a huge tactical advantage (no pun intended).
I kind of also hope he folds up another UT freshman in camp and sends him home like he did to Bourque. Just because that's awesome.

Ever since NSD I've felt like our best pass rush would come from inside. Mo and Big Dan will be tough to block
Ever since the end of the season I've felt like our best pass rush would come from having a new defensive coordinator.
(But yes, I agree with you.)

TonDMC and Couch should both have good seasons. McCullers is a monster and should be even more disruptive when you can't focus on him with 3 blockers. Couch can hold his own and I think we will be effective enough on the edges to at least seal the edge, and turn back to the "bigs" and AJ45. Mc and Couch should be able to plug the inside and our run D should be better. I also expect him to be able to get some inside rush on passes, and collapsing the pocket from the middle is tough on any quarterback and any level. JMO.
This is the year Smokey Mountain begins his domination!
Which ones and where ?? Dont see the connection.

BUTCH IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. GO VOLS!
He's wrong, it is the 4 starters for the Denver Broncos.
I read somewhere he was made for the 3-4, will he have less impact in a 4-3, maybe W/R/K can get me straight on this.

He is perfect for a 3-4 D because you are looking for your DLine to take up as many OLinemen as they can to free up the LBs to make plays... that doesn't mean he won't thrive in the 4-3 though. He can make plays, and that is needed in the 4-3.
