You think not playing TN in the coming years since Pastner wouldn't agree had a factor? Surely not a huge one, but I bet it was discussed. Wonder how much that actually will hurt us in the long run with Memphis kids?
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
There are many signatures in the world....this one is mine!
Your team. All the time.
I enjoy reading your posts but being a young black male from Memphis who bleeds vols football but has a thing for tiger basketball (which is not why I'm here apparently) that is a ignorant comment..u should try visiting the city instead of just watching old re runs of the first 48

I saw both he and Hubbs play this past Saturday against each other. While Nichols was a man on the court, there was no player even close to his size. He simply turned and dunked every time he got the ball inside. My son asked me during the game how Nichols would do against players his own size. That's a good question. He runs the court and hustles, but he is slow and didn't appear to have an array of moves. He only rarely handled the ball and no mid range or outside shots were attempted. For anyone that has seen him play, how does he do against kids his own size? He just looks like he would struggle against bigger players with his quickness and skill set. May be wrong, but just what I saw Saturday.
My mom and dad went to UT Med school in Memphis. Going to Memphis was part of our summer ritual and was something I always looked forward to. I love Beal Street and Interstate BBQ.
I was referring to the University of Memphis and CJP. Bad choice of words maybe but, if you're trying to turn it into a race thing, you're way off base.
UT board and I hate Memphis Basketball OK?
Glad you got him.

Not about race..half the team is from Memphis so that's why I mentioned that I was also a young black man from that city also..just took it as a shot at Memphis the city
Fair enough, not trying to "upset" anyone. Like I said, bad choice of words. It's a rival school thing ONLY. Just ticked we lost another one.
Best of luck to the young man. I wish he would have came to Knoxville, but maybe we'll meet up with him in the NCAA tourney and make him regret this decision. Hope he has a great career.
It's recruiting battles like this one, among other factors, that make it such a shame that this series may be interrupted for at least a few years after this year's meeting. Imagine how fun it would be to see a Nichols-led Memphis team going head-to-head with a Hubbs-led UT team next year in Memphis.
