Rumor has it that Kiffin told him to look around 2 days before he was scheduled to EE.
Nuthin' but 1st class treatment out west...
USC has a scholarship limit of 75 and could only take so many EE's without going over the limit (this problem goes away after graduation in the spring). After telling him for months that he could be an EE, Kiffin told him yesterday that Leon McQuay III gets the last EE slot and that Fitts has to wait until the summer to enroll. Fitts told them that he was reopening his recruitment and that he would consider USC among other schools.
You deal with the Kiff, and you get the screws.

Dude has no conscious. No morality. Doesn't Kiffin realize he's messing with kids futures here?
Would we have a chance to get this player and i wouod think we need DE?
Lane Kiffin = Village Idiot
21 schools of interest on his profile... unfortunately we are not one of them
What a shame...Kiffin tells the kid he's in then yanks the rug out from underneath him in favor of another player. Don't the parents of these kids see what type of coach - err, MAN - Kiffin is? Why you would let your son play for him is beyond me. Maybe the mystique of USC is bigger in SoCal than anywhere else and it's clear these kids fall into that black hole, but is it not the coaching staff's responsibility to mentor these players and afford them every opportunity to be successful?
What's bewildering to me at this moment is that Martin wanted to stay on Kiffin's staff, knowing full well what he was capable of.

this looks like a good opportunity for UT to offer (if they have not yet). Arkansas is in the mix. Why not UT?
