So it looks like Arkansas and Tennessee will both visit with him Sunday. I don't want him. Y'all can have him. Congrats
P.S. Do y'all even want him?

I don't. I really want Charlie Strong.

That would be a good hire. I wish our AD would take a serious look at him. Dude is from Arkansas.
no....don't want him
I prefer Fisher....but no Gundy period.
I'm ok with the Gundy hire. I think we could definietly do a lot worse. He had some success and I think it could translate with a good DC
That's me. He's been dubbed one of those offensive genius types, which would potentially make him a coach who could do what we did this year with a Sunseri as DC, but with a great DC, he'd be a good hire. We'd need to definitely know who he had committed to come with him as DC before offering, IMO.
I still think he's just playing everybody for a raise and staying put after T. Boone Pickens writes him a bigger check.

"Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat." Sir Robin's Minstrels.
I'm telling you Strong folks I was there with you and leading the bandwagon a couple of weeks ago, but since then I've jumped off, because I'm convinced he could recruit and have a good defense in the SEC (and yes, those are both critical), but he'll get outcoached on the sideline on a regular basis.
I was all for Strong, and had him almost equal to JG, but since we started this coaching search, I've watched him more closely, and been shocked that he just doesn't appear to be the brightest tool in the shed.
No on Gundy!!! Sub par defense and an inadequate recruiter. Has no SEC recruiting ties, and has never turned in a top 20 recruiting class at OSU - and only one top 25 class. That won't cut it in the SEC.
everything you said jcress - no Gundy please.
I definitely don't want him. Given me Fisher or Strong.
What Gundy has done at OSU with the most Big 12 conference wins the last 5 years (with Saturday's loss dropped to 2nd) is pretty impressive.
The two best professional rookies in 2010 and both from Oklahoma City,Oklahoma.
Arkansas AD Jeff Long's meeting with Gundy reportedly went pretty well.
I. Don't. Want. Him. At. All.
Couldn't Strong hire higher quality Cordinator's with us than at Louisville. This might overcome any sideline coaching deficiencies he seems to have at UL. With his leadership & recruiting abilities, he may just be what we need.
