seems like we are in the same shape as when Rich Rod backed out
Difference is Bama was 100% committed to winning. We aren't.
I would have liked to have Strong, but him saying no doesn't mean we have to hire the next Dooley.
Really...like when they had Shula as coach. Come on
I mean from an administrative stand point. They were willing to let Saban do whatever he wanted. We aren't willing do give that pwoer to any HC.
Does that mean we need for one of our top candidates to go make ot rain at the strip club.. hell ill drive them
I can remember the HELL that we went through trying to find coaches for years and years. Its simple, hire the right guy the first time. Try to get a guy with proven pedigree and a winning tradition. You cant keep hiring good ol boys that have an affiliation with a former coach or anything like that. I really believe in my heart of hearts Kirby Smart would put UT back on the SEC map. JMO I know hes not a proven HC but you cant deny his recruiting (which is the name of the game) and his player development.
Yep and Nebraska (currently), Notre Dame (pre-Kelly) and Oklahoma (pre Stoops). We are lost in the desert and cannot find that permanent coach.
