I know we are off to a rocky start on the offensive end of the court, which I hope we correct soon. But I see Purdue is off to a 4-5 start this year and the coach if he doesn't produce could get fired. We all know that Purdue is CCM alma-mater and I think if he ever left this would be the job. I hope Purdue turns it around soon but who else thinks he would leave to go back to Purdue to be the HC if it is offered eventually?
I think he's loyal to the Orange and White! Although, no one could blame him for going back to Purdue if he chose to.
Purdue is horrible this year. They lost to my Villanova team who will be lucky to go .500
Yea they lost to Eastern Michigan today, that is why I wonder if they really do fire the coach this year would CCM have a desire to go back
Hate to see him leave but if he does you can't really blame the man for wanting to return to his school to coach.
It would be no big deal if he left. But he is a long way from being a guy teams are hunting down for openings.
We are in a lot better spot to get a decent hire now than we were when we hired Martin.
I bet it would be bigger deal than you seem to think.
Just another lemon into lemonade job. - Switchfoot
Tonight is the first night of Hanukkah and Bruce is already board with spinning dreidels. When is that show cause lifted again?
Well, it would be a big deal on this message board. I'll give you that. But in real life, not so much.
It would be a big deal. I know Martin still has a lot to prove, but there's no guarantee the next guy will be any better. Pearl has the fan base spoiled from the 6 straight tourney appearances. It would take the right hire to get back there if it's not Martin... Martin has already delivered us Stokes and Hubbs... Keep thinking it won't be a big deal...........
Bunch of hand wringers.
The next time Martin takes a team to the NCAAT will be his first. if Purdue fires their coach this yr and Martin left to take that job, it would not be hard at all to find a coach as accomplished as Martin to take the job.
No, there is no guarantee the next guy will be as successful as Bruce, but Bruce isn't the coach. finding an unproven coach who may or may not be able to bring the program back to prominence isn't that big of a deal. we might even find ourselves happy that the job came open again, since we have a good class signed and no NCAA problems looming.
Disagree but that's your opinion.
It would be big deal to our current players. They love Martin. I would argue more than they did Pearl as far as off the court relationships.
Then there's the recruits...
Anyways my main focus is going to support Coach Martin and the boys vs Wichita State next week.
There are only four answers to any question: Yes, No, I don't know, or the Correct Answer.
"Give him six" "We don't give a damn about the whole state of Alabama" "Grit N Grind"
