foothills milling company in maryville best in area hands down. packed every night so you will need reservation. semi-casual. you can thank me later.
"Count it down with me. Five, four, three, two, one.
The national champion is clad in Big Orange!"
That's good stuff. Ye Ole Steakhouse, Litton's, and, a wildcard, Big Fatty's on the pike. Fantastic southern cooking.
Butch Jones. Who???
Sorry, but Ye Old Steak house has gone WAY down hill. Everything is pre-packaged etc.
If you want a steak then I would recommend Conner's in Turkey Creek
If you want Seafood- Chesapeake's Downtown
For all around good food the Smoky Mountain Brewery is also very good and you can never go wrong with Calhoun's or the Chop House
There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction. - Winston Churchill
Dending on what you like, Calhoun's is the best all around resurant in Ktown. They've got great steaks (prime rib is the most popular), killer ribs, and the best catfish I have ever eaten. They have reasonable prices(avg price is $10-$12). They also have GREAT BEER. They brew their own. If you are going downtown, Calhoun's on the River is the place to go. Great view of Neyland Stadium.

It's already booked for Saturday dang it.
If your coming thru Memphis don't get your BBQ in Knoxville
Grill at Highland Row
Ye Olde Steakhouse on Chapman, Chandler's Deli on Magnolia (get there early), Downtown Grill and Brewery on Gay, and Litton's on Broadway are always prime. I'll even throw in Calhoun's, but some people think it's overrated. Of course, from a student perspective, Gus's on Melrose on campus is fantastic.
Ignore the troll!!! Just kidding ;-)
Back in the day, the Orangery was by far the best. Is it still open?

Copper cellar, Asia Cafe (hole in the wall but amazing sushi), Big Ed's Pizza in Oak Ridge

I've never been. I think it's still open!
Also if you're in the mood for pizza, either Tomato Head on Market Square or Stefano's on the Strip are great options.
Ye Ole Steakhouse and Altruda's are my two favorites. I think I ate at Altruda's every weekend my junior year at UT. Fill up on rolls and salad and take the entree home.
Big Ed's Pizza in Oak Ridge is the best pizza parlor in the state.
If you're looking for fine dining try Echo Bistro. In the old Mangos location. Seafood try Shuck downtown. Bar food try Cazzys at pellissippi and S Northshore Dr. Good valu I like Lakeside Tavern. Downtown also like Tupelo Honey. Among others mentioned.
If YOS has gone way down I'd love to have eaten there when it was way up because that place is damn good to me. We go there every year we go to the orange and white game. I spend about $120 with tip but well worth it.
Ohh now i want Asia Cafe! BEST SUSHI EVER. haha
Go to Chez Guevara. Order the Elvis. Do it now!!
